Getting Your Greeting Card Shopping Done

It’s that time of the year!  Seems like only last month we were ringing in the New Year remembering Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve for 2013; but it’s August and Thanksgiving is less than ninety (90) days away; and oh, let’s not even think about Christmas.  Yep, it’s only four months away; yikes!  But this year, you want to try something different.  Do what you’ve repeatedly vowed to do; but have yet to achieve – the oh, so grueling task of selecting and actually mailing your greeting cards.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, we know it’s a hard task to accomplish but with the help of our resident blogger, we’ll give you some tips on how to make this seemingly daunting task; one less thing on your to-do list.  So let’s get started.

(1) Go through your contacts and make a list of all those you intend on sending a holiday greeting.  Seems simple enough, right?  It is because this year instead of making a list on a legal pad, you’re going to go through your email contacts and BCC those you select.

(2) Type a simple message asking for their mailing address.  Something like,

Hey guys, it’s me.  Just wanted your mailing address so I can
put you on the VIP list for one of the hottest commodities out there;
our family’s 2013 greeting card.
RSVP with your address before the end of the day.’

(3) Go to our website at InvitationWarehouse.com and take a look at our fabulous selection.  And just for you, you wonderful, on-task and on-time individual; because you’re so industrious, we’ll give you 30% off your order. Yay!

(4) After you’ve placed your order and gotten their address, set up an Excel spreadsheet to log them.

(5)  Go back to InvitationWarehouse.com and check out our Calligraphy page.  We’ll address your envelopes for you!  Yep!  We’ll do all the work!  Just give us a call, send us your greeting cards and we’ll get-er-done!

Wasn’t that simple?  IDK, right?  You are on it this year missy! Take a look at our extensive selection of Greeting Cards today @ invitationwarehouse.com!

Free Wedding Invitation Samples

You’ve made it through all of your friend’s summer weddings and had the privilege of being a bridesmaid in a few.  But now your time has come and you and your unusually attentive and supportive fiancĂ©e have chosen a winter wedding.  Together, you’re making conscious decisions about the budget and you’ve both decided that DIY invitations are out of the question. But before you take the plunge and spend a pretty penny on your formal invites, you want to see a sample of what’s out there.  So what’s a wedding invitation sample?

Invitation samples are simply a great way to get an idea of how your formal invite will actually look.  You also have the opportunity to feel the heavy cardstock, run your fingers across the engraved and embossed lettering while taking in the whole thermographed experience (which we’ll discuss in a later post).

And just for you; you budget conscious bride – we’ve partnered with one of our distributors and have we got a great offer for you.

When you order your invitations from Invitation Warehouse, through our Birchcraft distributor; a national dealer of fine personalized wedding and social invitations; you’ll receive not one (1), not two (2), but three (3), three (3), three (3) free Invitation samples when you place your order.  So if he likes this ‘bright, white invitation with the accessory cards tucked neatly inside the onyx sheen pocket.’

But you’d prefer this ‘lovely brocade-inspired flourish pattern’, then you now have the option to get a sample of each for your viewing pleasure.  Isn’t that great?  I mean it’s actually huge because ordinarily wedding invitation samples can be as much as $3 per sample; $3 just to take a peek! So brides take advantage of this exclusive offer.  Ready to check out some samples?  Visit invitationwarehouse.com today and place your order.

For Better, For Worse

Invitation Warehouse Contributor/Blogger

So we’re still talking about wedding vows and according to Wikipedia1, ‘in the United States, Catholic wedding vows may also take the following form;

“I, ____, take you, ____, to be my lawfully wedded(husband/wife), to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”

Ordinarily when you hear ‘for better, for worse’ you hear lectures about the ‘for worse’ part and rightfully so.  But there’s a side that can be detrimental to almost any marriage and that’s the ‘for better’ part.  Why?

Usually both the bride and the groom are gainfully employed at the time of the marriage.  On occasion however, you hear of the proverbial fairy tale wedding where the bride marriages an extremely wealthy man or perhaps he’s well off enough that she doesn’t have to work.  But what happens when both are employed and something spectacular happens like he starts that business he’s always dreamed about and it’s an overnight success.  Or you’re rewarded several new contracts and now you make enough to live off your income alone.

The two of you begin to make big ticket purchases, things are going extremely well and the vows are now materializing; in the sense that from this day forward, for better has gotten mo’ better; excuse my English but you get the gist.  Not too many couples can live and maintain a successful marriage.  Let me rephrase that; a financially successful marriage.  Why?

Because money changes people; I once heard former cornerback and Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, say in an interview that money makes you ‘a bigger you.’ In other words, if you drink, you’ll be a greater alcoholic; if you shop, you’ll spend more.  Money only magnifies who you are.

So when you’re writing your vows and considering inserting ‘for better, for worse’; remember who you’re marrying.  Ask yourself thinks like ‘How does that person handle attention?’  ‘How do they handle their bills?’ and ‘Could they handle financial success and still remain faithfully committed to the marriage?’  Need some help writing your vows?  Be sure to check us out at invitationwarehouse.com!
