140 Character Memories

When it comes to your upcoming nuptials, are you spending more time on being frugal or stylish?  Are you going for the wow factor or are you trying to create a memorable experience?  These are questions you should ask during the wedding planning stages.  Because ordinarily, brides tend to go for the glitz and glam which usually ends up being a waste of money and/or time. But as a well-rounded, educated bride, your goal should be for the memories; and not just your own.  Don’t waste your time trying to impress with bling and shiny things.  People won’t remember that.  What they will remember is the ambiance you created for your big day.  And a great place to start creating that ambiance is with…you guessed it - wedding invitations

You can use your wedding invitations in such a way, that will make your guest save their invite for years to come and here's how - by writing something private and personal on each invitation.  I know what you’re thinking.  This is going to take a long time!  Yes, if you did it in a traditional way.  But we're in the day and age of social media.  So in keeping with the times, you’re going to tailor your personal messages in a way, that depending on your list, may take less than an hour or two to do and here’s how;

First, make a list of everyone you’d like to come to your wedding and I mean everyone.  Don’t think about the cost because if they don’t make it to the final list, they can attend your virtual wedding. (Check out the next post to see how that’s going to work!)

Next, open your Social Dashboard.  If you don’t have one,
check out Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer.

Now, take your list and think of something personal and private about each guest in 140 characters or less.  Yep! 140 characters or less!  This exercise will help you to narrow down your thoughts and make them as clear and concise as possible because the dashboard will notify you when you've exceeded the allotted 140.

Once you’ve narrowed them down, cut and paste your 140 character memory to a WORD.doc with that person’s name and you’re done! Now wasn’t that simple?  The last and final step is to head on over to our website and browse our extensive wedding invitation gallery.

Once you’ve placed your order, simply print your Word.doc and cut into strips
or write the messages on each invite and voila!

You’ve just created a lasting memory that all your guests will share before attending your fabulous wedding; plus, they’ll keep your invite for years to come because you inserted your love note.  Who knew 140 characters could bring so much joy?  Order your wedding invitations today @ invitationwarehouse.com!

Feel The Love

I know what you’re thinking.  What is she going to come up this week?  Great question and I’m glad you asked. Because when you’re charged with writing a weekly blog about wedding invitations, you have to be unusually creative and think of topics that you’ve never discussed.  You have to stretch your imagination.  Sometimes, you have to surf the web for tidbits of inspiration.  And this is what I want to encourage you to do; your beautiful bride-to-be.  Stretch yourself and think of unusually creative ways that you can incorporate you and future hubby’s personality in on your big day.

You see it’s not all about what ‘looks’ good; your special day should ‘feel’ good also.  And the feeling you should be going for is ‘love’.  Your guests should walk away ‘feeling’ the love you and the Mr. share and the one sure way to ensure that they do is to sit, be still, and be quiet; with the sole purpose of identifying parts of your personality you want to infuse into your wedding.  What parts of your future hubby do you want displayed throughout the venue?  No, it doesn’t necessarily have to be pics, but colors, textures, furniture, or even props; each serving as a tangible representation of parts of you and each other that you want your guest to share. So where can you start? Invitations of course because everything starts with a word and the words of your invitation can be a good starting point.

Plus, it’ll help you identify your color palette that’ll springboard you into ideas of how to make those colors leap into every aspect of your big day.

Ordinarily, this would be the part of the blog where I provide you with pictures of invitations to get your creative juices flowing.  But instead, I want to challenge you to take a leap of faith and visit our website at invitationwarehouse.com.  Your eagerness and willingness to travel beyond the blog will help you get the much-needed inspiration and ideas you need to start seriously thinking of ways to infuse your love for one another throughout the venue.  If you need help, simply dial 214-381-6367 and one of our Creative Invitation Consultants will walk you through it.  So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Invitation Warehouse because we can’t wait for your guests to feel the love!

Wedding Bouquets and Invitations

If you follow us on Facebook then you know that I so adore flowers.  We follow people like Karen Tran Florals and Lush Couture Floral Designs.  Their floral designs are breath-taking and their bouquets are always attention grabbers.  That’s because they know that your wedding bouquet should make a lasting impression on your guests.

So how can you grab their attention before and after you walk down the aisle? By incorporating your bouquet in with your invitations and here’s how. First, decide on color palette.

Second, Google your color palette for flowers.  For example, Google ‘purple flowers’.  You should see an array of hydrangeas, lilies, roses, and peonies; to name a few.  Keep that up until you have your full palette.

At this point, you’re ready to head on over to your floral designer to mix and match your bouquet.
Now this is where we come in.  You should have a sample bouquet or at least of picture.  Enter invitationwarehouse.com and to the far left hand corner you’ll see the heading, “WEDDING INVITATIONS’.  For the sake of our post, select CARLSON CRAFT.

In the search tab, enter FLOWERS and get ready.

At this point, over 2600 invitations will come up.  If you’d like to view them all, have at it.  If not, don’t worry.  We just wanted you see that we have an extensive selection.

Now go back to the search tab and enter the color of your bouquet.  Let’s use PINK FLOWERS which narrows our search to less than 600! Now all you have to do is scroll through the images and see which invitation matches your bouquet.  Wasn’t that easy?  You’ll also be able to see our extensive selection of napkins, aisle runners, favor boxes, and any other accessories you’ll need.  And get this.  If you order today, you’ll receive 30% off our already competitively low prices.  Visit InvitationWarehouse.com today!
