‘About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. In 2015, an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 60,290 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer1’, according to breastcancer.org. Those statistics are astounding. It’s hard to escape the horrors of cancer. The owner of the fabulous Invitation Warehouse is a survivor. The majority of my paternal side of the family - grandfather, grandmother, uncles and aunts included have died from it. And as I write this post, I am a stage 4 cancer survivor. If you or someone you know has it, we at Invitation Warehouse are here to give you hope. Owner, Lois Lane, is living a thriving, vibrant life and is still operating Invitation Warehouse. I had to have my right eye removed almost 40 years ago and to this day, I don’t wear bifocals. And you too can and will live a long, fruitful life. It doesn’t have to defeat you.
Having said that, let’s shift our focus off the fight and onto the healing. As opposed to saying that 'you are fighting the disease', we like to refer to it as 'you have a healing going on.’ And in honor of those who do, consider purchasing a few of these Breast Cancer Note Cards, this holiday season to let your family and friends know that you're a survivor and/or supporter. This is also a really cool way to remind yourself and others that you have a healing going on!
Bottom line is that your life isn't over. You've just entered a new phase where you're more aware of your health and loved ones. So enjoy your journey of healing and be sure to get some note cards along the way. Visit invitationwarehouse.com today!
